The Unspoken Secrets of the Expat Life

40% of expatriations fail. And this number has not changed for decades! This translates to a USD 315 billion annual loss on expatriations. Why has this expatriation rate not changed over decades? What can be done to change this?

In this talk by Kia Holm Reimer and Neha Thakkar from Expat Advising, you are invited inside the life of an expat. Kia will share insights with candid honesty into why many expatriations fail, why some expats do not perform, and why they are unlikely to share the real reason for failure. They will share how taking a strategic approach and familiarizing yourself with the different stages of the expat life will benefit you as a people manager, strengthening your employer branding, company culture, retention, and ROI as the first-movers in the niche management of expats.

With this dynamic and interactive session grounded in academic research, 35+ years of experience, and interviews, you will walk away with:

Knowledge of how to proactively address expat challenges and tap into unknown opportunitiesFood for thought to

trigger meaningful conversations with the expats you manage

Concrete steps to take right away to move the needle for yourself as a manager and for your organization
