Maximizing ROI On Your Learning & Development Investment

The global workplace training spend for 2023 is estimated to be at around $380 Billion USD. Research by ATD (Association for Talent Development) indicates that close to 85% of this spend might be considered Learning Scrap, i.e. the amount invested that did not achieve the intended outcome and hence can be considered a wasteful expense.

  • Could this be happening in our organizations too?

  • What could be the possible causes for this and how can we ensure that we maximize the return on our learning & development investment?

  • As leaders, are we only focused on the learning needs of our organization or do we also take the time to step back and evaluate our own opportunities for development?

Employee Development is more often than not viewed with a very myopic lens. The emphasis is on skill building or competency development but there are other aspects to an individual's development journey that need to be considered as well. A broad brush approach to trainings may not always be the most effective strategy, especially when we are dealing with a multi-generational workforce with diverse needs.

In this session with Binesh, your key take-aways will be:

  1. Understanding the big picture of 'Development': How do we learn?

  2. Making sense of the evolving learner persona: Multi-generational workforces and their changing needs

  3. Being the lifelong learning CEO
