A lot of senior executives do not have time to develop self-awareness as they are too caught up in their work. They do not like to admit feeling anxious, depressed or lonely, not to their friends nor families, and certainly not to their colleagues.

They mainly avoid talking about this issue as they fear the stigma following it but Nick Jonsson, managing director of EGN Singapore, wants them to know that it is okay to talk about it.


Part of the problem is, of course, that the characteristics that make someone professionally successful can also make them less likely to acknowledge personal challenges or to seek help even when they do.
